BLACKBURN CHILDCARE

Conversion of an IGA Supermarket on South Parade Blackburn into a Nido Early School, an 84 place childcare facility incorporating architecturally-designed indoor and outdoor spaces to optimize learning. Consisting of 5 group rooms, cot room, piazza, commercial kitchen, play equipment, office spaces and reception, structural demolition was required to create play space and a new southern wall. Completed in February 2021 via D&C, the $2.5m development included an array of external, civil and ESD works such as solar panels and a raingarden.
