SCOTT O'CONNOR
PRE-CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR
As Pre-Construction Director, Scott has comprehensive oversight of every project, beginning with the initial feasibility/ estimating phase, understanding the project’s key deliverables, and ensuring they are managed effectively from the design phase through to site mobilisation.
Scott has over 15 years of industry experience, commencing his career in estimating, tendering large-scale retail and commercial projects. This experience cultivated Scott’s exceptional ability to establish and drive programme, design, and cost-efficient outcomes. Between 2010 and 2018, Scott administered and managed commercial, retail, and residential projects. This experience ultimately led him to assume leadership of IG’s Pre-Construction team, culminating in his appointment as a director. Leveraging his extensive project delivery experience, Scott facilitates a seamless transition into the project delivery phase, thereby enhancing the overall project’s success.

STEPHEN GOODMAN
CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR
For the past six years, Stephen has demonstrated exceptional leadership successfully overseeing hundreds of retail renewal and refurbishment projects throughout Victoria and Tasmania. His remarkable contributions to our organisation were further recognised in 2021 when he was appointed as a Director of IG.
Stephen’s wealth of experience in programming and delivering fast-paced fit out and refurbishment projects within live environments, coupled with his practical knowledge and adeptness at managing complex projects while ensuring minimal disruption has greatly contributed to our team’s success.
Amongst Stephen’s two decades of industry experience, he spent 15 years at Woolworths as a senior project manager overseeing Woolworths, BWS, Dan Murphy’s and Big W fit out, refurbishment and expansion projects across Melbourne and Tasmania.

DARIO MARINO
QUEENSLAND DIRECTOR
With over 28 years experience in the Construction Industry spanning across both the Commercial and Residential markets, Dario joins us as the Director of Insitu Group Queensland in January 2024.
Originally from Melbourne, Dario relocated to Queensland in 2019, fully immersing himself in the state’s dynamic and thriving construction industry working across the Retail, Commercial and Education Sectors.
With a passion for overseeing projects from their initial concept to the moment of completion, he has a profound appreciation for the intricate journey that each project takes.
Finding satisfaction in fostering a culture of teamwork and leadership within a fast paced and collaborative environment, Dario is equally committed in mentoring his team and focused on achieving great outcomes for all involved.

CHARLIE BLOMLEY
CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR
Charlie has been at the helm of IG’s construction division since its inception in 2015. With a solid foundation in trade experience, he possesses extensive technical and commercial expertise in overseeing complex projects spanning commercial, retail, hospitality, and educational developments. His practical knowledge across all facets of construction serves as a valuable resource, bolstering our project delivery teams.
Throughout his two-decade long career, Charlie has maintained a steadfast commitment to project delivery, he’s a strong advocate for our site teams. He places a premium on quality and safety, ensuring projects are adequately resourced and embracing innovative approaches to improve processes. Charlie has further solidified his standing in the industry as a registered builder and plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our construction projects.

PAUL SMITH
BOARD DIRECTOR
Paul is Chairman of the Board at Insitu Group, overseeing the strategic direction of the company. Widely acclaimed and respected in the industry, Paul is renowned for his unparalleled expertise. Paul has a storied career in construction that began with his carpentry apprenticeship in the 80’s. He ascended through the ranks, culminating in ownership of another construction company before assuming ownership at IG. His extensive portfolio boasts a diverse range retail, shopping centre, and high-rise residential projects including some Melbourne most iconic landmarks.
Paul’s association with Insitu Group dates back to its inception. At first, he served as a mentor before assuming oversight of all aspects of the company’s developments. While Paul has taken a step back from the day-to-day operations, he remains actively engaged in his role as the Chairman of the Board, continuing to provide invaluable guidance and leadership.

ELLEN KAFKAS
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Ellen’s appointment as CFO in January 2024 was a pivotal moment for Insitu Group, one that solidifies our growth, strengthens our financial resilience, and ensures sustainable development while managing risks effectively.
Ellen brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organisation, having spent eight years at KPMG, where she provided accounting, tax and commercial business solutions to a diverse range of real estate and construction clients, including Insitu Group. In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, Ellen has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and an Advanced Certificate in Advising Family Business.
Ellen’s values and character are a perfect match for our corporate culture. She is innovative, a champion of women in leadership, and brings a loyal and supportive spirit to our team.
